Help develop the metaforum!

Hi, Betrand and I are very interested in further improving the metaforum, making it more useful, pleasant to use, and adding new features. These past months, I've devoted a non-negligible amount of my time writing the software for the metaforum. But this is a lot of work for just one person with other things to do. If anyone would like to help us develop the metaforum further, we would be delighted. The forum uses Python, the flask framework and bootstrap for the frontend. Anyone with some knowledge of the Python language should be able to help us implement new features in the backend, and anyone who's good with CSS/bootstrap (I am not) would be able to help us with the appearance of the front end. We have opensourced the code for the metaforum. There's a github repo available here: Github Repo. A development environment can be set up in some easy steps summarized in the readme. Among the features we would currently like to implement are search and some form of communal moderation. Possibly voluntary logins to gain moderator privileges, though we are still weighing the pros and cons. Your ideas are obviously welcome. Of course, you are welcome to contribute to the metaforum codebase anonymously, and you can get in touch with us at philosophymetaforum@gmail.com.

I've had a lot of problems posting lately. Lots of internal server errors.

Unfortunately, a bug crept in while I updated the nickname system. It should now be fixed. If problems persist, please feel free to email us at philosophymetaforum@gmail.com

Meanwhile, should anyone feel inspired to help me add some unit tests to the site to help us avoid messing up in the future, I would be super-appreciative...

There seems to be nothing at that github repo...

You're right, not entirely sure what happened there. We'll re-upload when we can but it might not happen until the weekend. In the meantime, if you're even remotely interested in getting involved, please don't hesitate to get in touch at philosophymetaforum@gmail.com. We're both doing this as a hobby, so any help would be very greatly appreciated.

Yo, how do people spam upvotes/downvotes?

Like, one way to do that would be by switching proxies on your VPN, but that'll get tedious really fast. Is there some way to mess with the source code to enable that kinda behaviour? How do they have access to the source code given that GitHub link is broken?

IMHO it totally defeats the point of voting system, if it can be so manipulated. Why not remove it altogether then?
